Who I Am – Briefly and Without Embellishment
Petra Nieweg. Attorney-at-Law and Graduate Economist, admitted to the Hamm Bar Association.

I studied law because conflicts interest me. Economics, because many conflicts ultimately conceal an economic question. This led to my working style: clear analysis, robust strategy, and substantive argumentation.
My law firm is based in Steinhagen, East Westphalia. I advise and represent clients nationwide – by phone, video, or in person.
How I Work
I listen. I ask the questions that are uncomfortable but need to be asked. Then I tell you where things stand—not how you might like to sugarcoat them, but how they really are.
If a dispute is worth pursuing, I pursue it with determination. If not, I tell you before you invest time, money, and nerves in proceedings that make no economic sense. I escalate when it serves the outcome—not to make the file thicker.
What this means in practice
Two degrees are not a decorative add-on on the letterhead. They help where legal arguments alone are not enough: in calculating damages, understanding economic interrelationships, questions of causation, or classifying market and contractual constellations.
I not only examine whether a claim exists, but also how it can be substantiated, quantified, and effectively enforced. Legal soundness is not enough if the outcome makes no economic sense.
